United Methodist Women

The purpose of UMW is to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and focus on mission outreach, especially as it relates to women and children. A boutique or auction is held each fall to raise money for a variety of mission projects selected by the group. In recent years, they have included Illumination Foundation, Africa University, David and Margaret Home for Girls and Laguna Beach Friendship Shelter. UMW holds meetings and book discussions every other month. JULIETS is open to all women of the church and typically meet for lunch on the second Wednesday of each month at the Wind & Sea restaurant in Dana Point Harbor for fun, fellowship & food! Guests of regular attendees are also welcome. Click "learn more"  to inquire about the JULIETS lunch group.

ROMEOS is open to ALL men of the church. It was primarily established for the development of fellowship for the men of LBUMC.  The group meets the last Tuesday of every month at IHOP in Laguna Niguel at 9:30 AM. Laguna Beach United Methodist Church is blessed to have many talented singers and musicians who are both on staff and volunteers. At LBUMC we also have instrumentalists on flute, violin, keyboard, bells, guitar and many other instruments. So, whether it’s a solo or an ensemble of singers and musicians, we relish all opportunities to give praise to God through a great variety of musical experiences. Sunday School

 We believe that the future begins with our children. After Children’s Time, during our Sunday service, children through 5th grade may leave the worship service to attend. All employees and volunteers have been screened and educated in the Safe Sanctuaries program.

Messy Church

Messy Church in an all-age fresh expression of church that offers counter-cultural transformation of family life through families coming together to be, to make, and to celebrate God. Messy church is a form of church for children and adults that involves creativity, celebration, and hospitality. Messy church happens once a month at LBUMC where people from 3-93 explore spiritual concepts through hands on activities based on the Bible.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me," and we love to see your little ones in church. Nursery care is provided for children from birth – 3 years of age from 10:00 AM till the end of church each Sunday morning. All employees and volunteers have been screened and participated in the Safe Sanctuaries program.


Vacation Bible School-- VBS is camp with heart and soul! Children rotate in groups through activity stations led by experienced and enthusiastic adult volunteers. Teen guides offer support and fun! All activities relate back to Bible story values to support a loving life. This year's theme is "Strong Foundations". Our COVID-19 Care Team is on the forefront of making sure our members stay safe during the global pandemic. Members of the COVID-19 Care Team perform various tasks such as grocery and prescription delivery, phone call check-ins, and directing further requests to our church leadership.
