Just Like Me

8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

This year, we’re inviting kids into something a little different. Just Like Me is an inclusive Vacation Bible School experience where kids explore who they are, how they belong, and how they can make a difference in the world—just as they are. Throughout the week, we’ll step into a vibrant “community garden,” where kids will wonder, create, share, and grow together through stories, hands-on activities, and meaningful conversations.

What Makes This VBS Stand Out?

This experience invites kids to ask big questions, explore their faith, build confidence in using their voice, and practice kindness and community in real ways. Each day is centered on a simple but powerful theme like wondering, sharing, belonging, and speaking up, helping kids discover that they are already loved and valued.

At the heart of Just Like Me is a simple truth that every child is a beloved creation of God. As a Reconciling United Methodist Church, we openly affirm and celebrate people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, races, abilities, and backgrounds. What to Expect

Each day, kids will move through a variety of engaging experiences designed to meet them where they are. They will hear stories from scripture, participate in creative and hands-on activities, play and move together, and share in music and group gatherings. Everything is designed to feel joyful, accessible, and meaningful, creating space for connection, growth, and fun throughout the week.
